The challenge was to transform USGBC+ from a static digital magazine into a modern, multimedia destination that reflected the organization’s innovation, research, and impact.

Approach

While serving on USGBC’s marketing team, Bold Branch Collective’s founders led the transformation of USGBC+, redefining its role as an integrated storytelling platform. The team developed an editorial strategy and user experience redesign that positioned the publication as a “living ecosystem” of sustainability knowledge, bringing together articles, multimedia, and research under a unified content architecture.

The new structure organized insights by themes such as energy, materials, health, and resilience, improving discoverability and user experience.

Outcome

The reimagined USGBC+ launched as a global thought-leadership hub, consolidating multiple content streams into a cohesive platform.

The result was higher engagement, stronger brand alignment, and a scalable model for digital storytelling that elevated USGBC’s global voice, increasing year-over-year total views by 470% and unique users by 170%.
